Elemental Care Plans

each client will have unique needs and wishes during pregnancy and beyond, as a qualified and former practicing midwife and health visitor I have acquired practical skills and knowledge working with many women, babies and families in a variety of settings. I aim to keep up abreast of current research and feel that women and their partners should be supported in their choices and decisions that are based on quality information given impartially. I believe that birth may be firmly placed in a social model without the need for unnecessary medical intervention however obstetrics, when required, are there to improve outcomes for mother and babies. I take on a limited number of clients per year to enable unhurried visits, full support and advocacy.

I work collaboratively and Independent Midwives, Sarah Flower www.sarah-flower.com and Sharyn Locke www.thedalesmidwiferypractice.com I cover Kirklees and surrounding areas and will take on clients within an hours’ drive of my home.

My service includes a second on call in the unlikely event that I am unable to attend your birth, an experienced qualified midwife now birth supporter, will act as a second. My commitment and availability to my client of ‘on call’ 24 hours, 7 days per week from 37-42 weeks.

My fees are representative of my years of specialist training, practice and experience in ante-natal, intrapartum (home and high risk) and post-natal aspects of Midwifery and Health Visiting. I undertake regular CPD training to update and expand my knowledge base. I hold a current Disclosure and Barring Service Certificate (DBS). I also facilitate antenatal and postnatal support groups. Teach and practice holistic therapies and occasionally take part in public speaking events.

If you feel that you are in need of support but are unable to source the finances, please contact me as in certain circumstances payment plans may be arranged. I am flexible regarding packages so please contact me to discuss your needs.

Please read this care plan schedule and fee table carefully. A contract applies to Elemental Gold and Fourth Trimester packages. Please contact me if you would like to see this document prior to an initial meeting.

Initial Meetings

The Initial meeting can take place in the comfort of your own home at a time to suit you. During this time you can discuss your intentions, ideas, your own birth history, what your personal requirements are and where you plan to birth. Naturally we must both feel comfortable and just as each pregnancy is unique, all birth workers have unique strengths and weaknesses too, it is important to ‘fit’ and this may involve meeting with others to provide you with the best service, this is without prejudice and clients are welcome to explore before making a commitment.

This meeting will take around two hours. The Fee for an initial meeting is £50.00 if you choose to book the fee is then deducted from the outstanding balance.

Please read my Services and Fees  for packages and prices.
